Mind racing a mile a minute
I can’t think
Can’t concentrate
I must clear my head
The world is burning
We go on like nothing is happening
We post, we share, some cry, we mourn
But nothing changes
And we do it all again tomorrow
Black lives, Cops lives, All lives
And nothing gets better
I fear it will only get worse
I see the division even amongst my friends
Some say I can’t be for Black lives, and also be for Cops lives
Why?
Being for one does not mean I am against the other
And I should not have to choose
I am at a loss
I fear for my family,
For myself,
For my friends,
and for my Country
Still we do nothing
There will be no change
Until we stop doing nothing

Writing to clear the jumbled mess I call my brain
