depression

regression

that’s not the way to start the day

wasting away

with things

that won’t move you forward

the light

a sight

as small as it can be

only waiting to be noticed

waiting to mean

something more

than just a sight you see

because before

all of the tech and sight tracking devices

our vices involved complication in our chores

beauty involved the basics

the things that are taken for granted

like a candid photo

or art

so to appreciate the small things

like a flower or a smile

the things forgotten

in our average day

should make you wonder

if we didn’t take things for granted

wouldn’t our minds be more at bay?
