Nostalgia for Mountains and Youth
Acrostic for the Moment of Silence Challenge

Standing on the mountain top with my eagle-spread arms,
I’m breathing in the silence, dreading for the others to catch up and freak out.
Lacking fear of heights seems to be
Entertaining only for myself,
Not my climbing companions.
“Crazy?!?” I hear them out of breath, trying to pull me off the
Edge. “You think I can fly?” - “Not today, not in front of me, crazy!”

Brilliant 🤩✅💖… as long as I’m safe, I love lookouts and views etc too 👍🏼
Wonderful and well done..
Nice! I used to be good with heights when younger, now not so much.😉💕😊
Back to say 'congratulations' on winning an Honorable Mention on this week's leaderboard for Most Discussed Stories - you are most deserving, to be sure!
I was never that kid. I hate heights. Some of my cousins definitely were this kid though. Great work!
We've all got that one friend 😁
Hahahahaha that made me chuckle. Loved your Acrostic!
Poignant and relatable. Wonderfully done.
And I thought it was inspired by reality. I felt a resonance!
Oh, this is wonderful. Well done.
This is a great poem. Cheers to the challenge
I love the humor in this Challenge poem 😊♥️
I think I've been this person at times in my life haha, well written Lana!
A wonderful piece, I am terrified of heights but somehow your poem makes me feel like I can fly. Makes me feel brave enough to stand a little on the edge. Great imagery.
Loved this, Lana! Must have been the picture of the mountain that did it. I like to go right to the edge too! What does that say about us?
Lovely piece! :)
Oh...this was very clever. Loved the humorous tale you told.
