No Lonely Roads Of Faith
A poem about how we sometimes feel.

To unsee the world in front of thee
Be able to withstand the one left behind
Again, make magic happen for the world around
Enjoy a purpose that fills you with glee
--
Be not alone inside the crowd so near
Reach out and know them one and all
Love the differences, making them so unique
For one of them shall have the most understanding ear
--
Build things around you that give you feelings of fullness
Do not forget to stop along the way and smell the roses
Ride the world's roads of both peace and chaos with strength
Survive and embrace the adventures and treasure moments of dullness
--
Not all times will be that which we desire
Troubles come for all those who dare to try living
Think not that you're alone when things become so tough
Do not forget this isn't your first time coming from the fire
--
Only the old may hug the wonders of quiet and peace in life
Be not weary of facing the struggles
You'll survive all things thrown at you
You'll become as sharpened as a warrior's knife
--
Remember, you don't walk the journey alone
Understanding voices only an arm away
Be the mighty and not afraid to weep
Only the cold will weep none
--
Take the road and be not scared
The hardest of your journeys require faith
They'll test you deep into your bones
But be not doubtful someone out there cared

Writing has become more important as I live with cancer. It's a therapy, it's an escape, and it's a way to do something lasting that hopefully leaves an impression.

More sage counsel your children & grandchildren (at the very least) will long treasure.
