No flight; Fight

Face it

Tell your heart to beat once more.

Calm the butterflies at the core.

Don't trample them till they die

but rather teach them how to fly.

*

Don't shut down on the pain

But learn to feel it and still stay sane.

Don't ignore the broken shatters

but rather build them into sturdy ladders.

*

Don't you lock your mind, my child

but learn to swim when the waves have gone wild.

And when they try to rise higher than you

just lower your head and dive right through.

*

For strength isn't something you buy,

and logic won't always tell you why.

Courage thrives when it's most needed,

And pain only heals when properly greeted.

*

It takes a darkness for a spark to shine,

it takes a hunch to straighten the spine.

It takes a fight to be able to win,

It takes a shove to finally begin.

This is powerful. Lower your head, dive right through; logic won't always tell you why. Great poem!
