No hooks to catch fabrics

No bumps in the road

No up and down hills

No heavy loads

No hiccups or problems

No flat tires

No falls or concussions

No more all-nighters

No mud and no dirt

That I’ll have to clean

No holes in my shoes

Or rips in my seams

No cheating ex-lovers

No backstabbing friends

No loyalties broken

And no relationships to mend

No deaths unexpected

No trips down the stairs

No vehicle accidents

And no more repairs

No more long errands

Or balancing bills

No more hiding the pain

Its ok to feel

No dry hands needing lotion

No too oily skin

Or too tight clothes

That I cannot fit in

No knicks during shaving

Or pain in my knees

No headaches, or cramps

No bruises please

I dream of this life

So perfect and smooth

Emotionally silky

Soul fully soothed

I dream of that life

Like a child with hope,

with no hooks to catch fabrics

And no bumps in the road
