A Poem From my Book "Visions From the Neptune Motel"

"neptune motel"

my mind is scattered in pieces

my thoughts break off into asteroids and shoot out like falling stars

my feet are on the earth but my being floats to mars

my conciousness dances with the planets as they roam

my dreams escape to saturn and my fears dwell on the dark side of the moon

i left my sanity in venus and took my visions to jupiter to explore

but the world was dark there too

there was nothing to adore

i traveled through the stars

through infinity galore

until i finally found my peace in the neptune motel by the shore

the sheets were soft and white

the bed was warm and firm

and there was life all around me

the oceans of black water calmed me to my core

i fell asleep in its solace and left my shoes behind the door

but i always awoke at home in a battle with my mind in some unholy war

surreal poetry
