Human brain is built
on pleasure-seeking circuitry.
We crave it deeply,
but are consumed by other things
and forget how to reap happiness.
We’re confused that
it will cost money,
it has to be brought.
No, you are getting it wrong,
nature is for free,
and it's hub of joys!
It's like treasure hunt,
you have to develop
mindfulness, and be creative
to enjoy the wonders.
With years of practice,
and mindset change,
I’ve mastered that,
let me share what I mean.
I go on nature walks,
and stay attentive,
to hidden miracles,
as if we are playing peek-a-boo.
Pick a dandelion seedhead,
and place it against the dazzling sun.
The backlit orb
turns to an ephemeral gem,
washed by amber glow.
I keep doing such little magics
for my delight, and I must say,
I am content, even amidst sorrows.
