Mystical Dust

"I am he as you are he as you are me and we are all together..." The Beatles

I am the opaline moon

Gazing at myself

In the silver-ripple lake.

Distant stars fade

In my stolen radiance.

Now I am the black whisper

Of the wind, borne

Under a nocturnal owl’s wings.

Brown prey trembles

‘Neath the quaking leaves.

I am the stone sentinel

Craggy head lifted

Over flaxen valley fields.

Silent witness

I weep from deep-crystal springs.

Now I am the amber sun

Burning the edges

Off darkness with golden warmth.

Another day

To celebrate life.

I am the pure white light

That connects us.

All things made of each other.

Mystical dust,

We eddy and swirl.

About the Creator

Pamela Darbyshire

I have always loved to write. My busy life as a wife, mother, business owner, landlord, care-giver, and more prevented me from giving it much thought until recently. I am now in a more peaceful place and ready to return to earlier pursuits.
