My Veritas

Poem for a leg Tattoo

Keep off my words

my thoughts

my desires

For they belong to me

Intrinsically

*

I will not lie

nor be suppressed

By the mind vultures

shielding

in oppressive nests

*

While you may dispute

my truths, hopes,

lusts …

We can still bind together

Veritas

*

Come sit with me,

friend.

let us argue our views

For this world cannot heal

when divided thoughts loom.
