My To Do List

Last week I made up my mind to start me a notion

So, I plotted and schemed putting a plan into motion

Jotted down some ideas, things that really needed doing

Listed some movies on Netflix, I looked forward to viewing

I picked up the clutter that spread throughout the house

Sewed some patches on jeans and buttons on my blouse

I cleaned out the car and donated to Goodwill

I weed whacked and mowed, except that patch on the hill

Some ground bees live there, and they sting like the dickens

I debated buying goats and a few free-range chickens

But back to the task of completing that notion

I really must get better at controlling my emotions

Last week I blew up at the guy down the street

I followed him on twitter, till I read what he'd tweet

Some obnoxious gibberish about the length of my grass

All the other neighbors heard me, as I called him an ass

I said if you want to get stung, you mow the grass, with the bees

Then, shove it where it don't shine, if you know what I mean

Then, I made him some cookies, to make up and keep peace

The last thing I need is him calling the police

On "that grouchy divorcee'" who lives down on the corner

I never thought I'd be that lady, when I got older

So, my notion to be better, is coming along

I'll be minding my p's and q's, so that nothing goes wrong
