My Sun

Makes Hearts Fly

My Sun

Bouncing on one rose petal to the next

Until my heart reaches you

A tornado I become as you spark my heart

But yet you calm my storm

You are my sun

On soft clouds, we lay our hearts

A place where logic could never reach

Then the sunset

I got scared and became the storm again

You became my moon

The storm ceases because of you

You control the tides of my mood

You know how to let the fire blaze like the ocean waves inside of me

We join together and create a fiery tornado

Dangerous but captivating

Eventually, it dissolves

Leaving both of us out of breath

But wanting more

Our hearts flying even higher

Our brains will never reach that far

But still we try

Only to be left confused

Is this love?

Or did our hearts rocket into the air fueled by lust?

I don't know but I like this dance

Love is the music

Lust is the liquid gold that makes us dance

We do it again

Better than the first sin

But somehow we still ended up just being friends

It was lust that won

I had so much fun

You was an amazing sun

Very uplifting poem. I know I am not suppose to say this, but I am only reading and responding to those that have read mine. Your poem has everything of beauty Emily - rose pedals- moon-storms- At least you ended up as friends. I only comment on those that comment on mine. Oh by the way I will be taking the smile poems and a few I hadn't published and doing an amazon book of smile poems. I see you have written several books, if I get stuck publishing can I ask you a few questions????- Very uplifting poem Emily.

  • A wonderful poetic analogy
