My Secret Love Is No More
You made me laugh when nothing could,
You looked at me like no one should,
I felt like fire, I felt like sin,
And I would do it all again.
We met in corners, closed the blinds,
Spoke with eyes, ignored the signs,
I was yours, but not in name,
And loving you still lit the flame.
I bit my lip to stop the truth,
I painted over fading youth,
We danced on glass, we broke the bed,
We killed the quiet in my head.
But secrets sweat, and secrets slip,
They slide from tongue, from trembling lips,
One careless word, one broken trust,
And suddenly, it all turned dust.
They called me names, said I was a whore,
They split us up, we were no more,
The love like candy soon turned sour,
Once we were strong, now we lost all power.
The film was good, then came the end,
You locked your door, for us it was the end.
I see it now, the ending clear,
My secret love has cost me dear.

Thoughts on Vocal and the way the world is
"Death cannot stop true love, only delay it." – Wesley in The Princess Bride. I decided to come back to Vocal on a very cold and dark night at the end of December. I had been, and still am, convalescing from a horrible staph infection that had gone misdiagnosed for months. This, paired with the increasing challenges of being healthy, making the best choices for my co-parented child, being a wife, and being a director at a new job, was a lot to manage.

Allow me time to help. Please! I have your back. What you are doing now is simply alerting these people they are caught. It's not just one person, IMO. I suspect you're alerting MANY people, and that could mean they'll remove evidence before I can document it. Allow me time, please, to cross-reference and compile evidence! I've been working on this since I woke up and I've barely scratched the surface. Go to the Vocal Social Society on FB for more! I hesitate to tell you any of this in comments because, again: I don't want these people to know we're on to them!!!
