My pain, your Love

A journey through pain and a love that made it all worth it

By Peace OputaPublished 11 months ago 1 min read
Staying afloat

Lost in my world of pain,
Not paying attention.
Drifting into the shadows unseen,
Thinking of all the pain.
The weight of sorrow drowns your voice,
Can't hear my name.
Drained of all my strength and empty,
Can't feel your pull.
You're trying so hard,
I wish I could see beyond the fog,
Yet all I see is grief.
I wish I could hear your love call me home,
But my soul feels numb.
I wish I could feel your warmth,
But I'm lost in the cold.

Tracing my steps backward but I lost my way,
Please find me, don't let go.
I'm lost, adrift, drowned in my own sorrow,
Can you keep calling?,
Can you hold on?.
I remember your smile,
The one that brightens my path.
I'll hold on, I'll answer my name,
Please find me, don't let go,
My heart beats again, weak but steady,
I can see a light, a spark of hope.
Wait, please wait some more,
I'll be back cause you mean the world to me.
