My mom is the sun in a world often gray,
The calm in the storm, when skies go astray.
Her laughter is warmth, her voice soft and kind,
A compass of love that steadies my mind.
She’s the hands that have held me through nights of despair,
The heart that keeps beating when no one else cares.
She’s given her dreams so that I might pursue
The paths I now walk, because her strength grew.
She’s more than a mother; she’s shelter and friend,
I owe her the stars, yet she asks for no praise,
Just to see me keep rising, through all of life’s maze.
And though time will move forward, as it always does,
In my heart, she’ll remain—the purest of love.
My guide,
My anchor,
My everlasting light,
My strength,
My safe haven,
My constant,
My healer,
My joy bringer,
My heart’s keeper,
My wisdom,
My comfort,
My unwavering shield,
My cheerleader,
My calm in the storm,
My forever home,
My gentle hand,
My source of endless love,
My everything.
