The Masked Girl

Hidden me

By KomalPublished about a year ago 1 min read

Behind the mask she wears each day,

Hides a soul too brave to say.

Her smile concealed, her eyes alone,

A world of feelings all her own.

She walks through streets with head held high,

But in her heart, the questions lie:

"Will they see who I truly am,

Or just the mask and not the lamb?"

Her mask, a shield from cruel disguise,

Hides the tears behind her eyes.

It keeps her safe, it keeps her strong,

But it tells the world she's where she doesn't belong.

Behind her mask, she dreams of skies,

Of open hearts, of no goodbyes.

Of moments where she can be free,

To show the world her own true plea.

Yet even masked, she still shines bright,

A hidden star in the darkest night.

For though her face may stay concealed,

Her spirit will not stay unrevealed.

To all who walk with masks like hers,

Your worth is more than what appears.

For beyond the mask, beyond the fear,

A heart beats true, and love is near.
