My Life

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I, I took the road less travelled by. - Robert Frost

A Life as real as mine can you imagine it?

A Life filled with unbearable pain, uncontrollable tears, screaming that echoes inside my mind, crushing betrayal, and selfish abandonment. Monsters stem from this life, feed on this life, were the reason for this life, sometimes they still are...

But through these moments, I have found light. Surprising connections, side-splitting laughter, unshakeable loyalty, and memories built on the foundations of companionship and love.

Through man-made feelings of believing I was worthless, I have been able to appreciate worthy people and through that starting to have faith that I am worthy too.

I would like to think someone could find that, without all the pain, but it wouldn't have been exactly what I have found, so with that I am thankful to the pain, have respect for that pain and wouldn't wish to change that pain. Through the darkness, I have found power, I have learnt that without pain one can never truly appreciate the light.

Feed your pain with Love, it is difficult. The darkness still does haunt me, but I have my eternal weapon, a sword whose blade is formed from the light of the love I have known.

We are all warriors, in this life, I no longer have to imagine it, because my life is real.
