Purple has always been my favourite colour
I've been drawn to its beauty for as long as I can remember
Something about it feels so inviting
Enclosing you with a warm embrace
No matter where you are, or what you've done
It will hold you in unconditional love
You might think I'm projecting, but it's just reflecting
The essence of purple that lives within me
How when I'm with people they feel this permission to be
To be as they are
To feel safe
To open their heart
For that warm embrace
I have a gift to hold space
To see you in light
To remind you everything will be alright
No matter where you are, or what you've done
I wonder if you feel my purple
If the reminder is subtle
Of if I carry this glow everywhere I go
This colour keeps me connected
It sits in my soul
Encourages me to embrace the unknown
For whatever I face
I have this home of unconditional love
