My Happy Place

I sat on the grass.

My bare feet pressed down on the ground

I could smell the freshness of where it had just been cut.

I looked around and saw big beautiful trees either side of me.

All perfectly shaped and full of life

Directly in front of me stood a waterfall.

A beautiful calming waterfall

Water fell and gently crashed against the rocks

I could feel the sound of the water falling in my ears.

The sound of birds above and away could be heard.

I once bought a pasta spoon in Italy

Butterflies flew around

Butterflies of every colour, so vibrant and bright.

This is where I felt calm.

This was my happy place.
