My eyes cried a sea of tears
Enough to sink a ship

My eyes cried a sea of tears
The ship sailed on the tears from my eyes,
The captain called, Slow down, please, girl!
Each time your tears begin to fall,
The waves rise high, and we lose control.
I cried oceans, my eyes burned red,
Letting you ruin my life instead.
You treated me like dirt, unclean,
A love that cut, a bitter dream.
The captain sent a flare to the sky,
“Stop the tears, or we’ll all die.
Stop the tears, your life repair
You’ve more to give, beyond despair.
Was it real, or in my head?
I stopped crying—was the ship now dead?
The crew, the waves, the sinking tide,
All faded as I dried my eyes.
A choice remained: to carry on,
Or sink beneath a love now gone.
Two days have passed, my tears run dry,
I bid you now my last goodbye.
I sunk you to the ocean floor,
The fish have feasted, you’re no more.
At last, I’m free, my heart can soar,
The storm has passed; I weep no more.

A poem that could provoke a good, refreshing cry and release any tension that might be felt.
Wow. What a fantastic metaphorical triumph. Great job Marie. Love this. 🚤💙🛥️🛳️⛴️🚢💙
