My dog that has died

Jesus met him, at the heavenly gates

My dog that has died

In a meadow where the soft winds sigh,

A furry friend now runs in the sky.

With a wagging tail and heart so pure,

He found a place, where love's the cure.

With gentle paws, he crossed the gates,

Where golden light and joy awaits.

Jesus stood with arms open wide,

Welcoming my dog, my faithful guide.

"Come run with me," said the Savior dear,

"In this heavenly field, there's nothing to fear."

Together they played, beneath the sun's grace,

As my loving dog found his eternal place.

Though my heart aches, the memories stay,

In every bark, in every play.

For in my dreams, I still see the spark,

Of my beloved dog, running free in the dark.

So I smile through tears, knowing it's true,

He's safe in heaven, where skies are blue.

And one day we'll meet, on that mystical shore,

With wagging tails, forevermore.
