My dear brother,

brother from another life

My dear brother,

When you took your life,

You also took a piece of me with you.

When you jumped from that building,

My life ended too.

Even if many stories and lives went on,

In my soul, a mark was left—

Such pain, one can never forget.

And though no trace of your face remained,

In the very end, when everything was burnt,

I destroyed all your things.

Even the smallest memory of you

Was too painful to face.

About the Creator

Paola Crocomo

Currently on my postdoc, I've been studying Chemistry over 13 years, but the only thing that kept me going was journaling my feelings, writing poems and drawing on my notebooks. Now, I finally decide to share a bit here. Hope you enjoy :)
