Dark Book

I wrote a dark book,

from the monster’s point of view.

It takes a unique look

at the thoughts that they do.

Each monster gets to say

what goes though their head.

The things that make their day,

and fill one’s heart with dread.

Still, some monsters are locked tight.

They cannot be in my collection.

I do not have the right,

To publish their introspection.

Now King Kong is a force,

not just a giant monkey.

He is a important source

of a side of life that will always be.

The fact is I can’t say what he climbed,

or what was in his hand.

Yet, the thoughts in his mind,

are important apart of his stand.

All monster have desires,

Although, twisted they may be.

Still there are things that inspire,

the visions that they see.
