My Constant Craving is Peace
A Poem by Lena. Form created along the way.
Author's Note: The following is the fifth poem in my self-challenge to write a poem a day. (Though last night's was a cheating piece of rubbish).

All I want is peace -
No more.
No less.
_
No longer do I crave
A passion enduring.
No longer do I care
If he loves me most.
_
All I want is peace -
A safe home.
A quiet space.
_
The time has come and past
When charm will hit its mark.
The moment has arrived
For truth to claim its throne.
_
All I want is peace -
For pain to fade.
For fear to cease.
_
You are no longer
My constant craving.
No longer do I believe
In forevermore.
_
But all I want is peace -
Whether we stay.
Or whether we cease.
