My Colourful Transgender Life

The evolution of me.

My Colourful, Transgender Life.

By

Genevieve Lillian Charles

There isn’t a day that I came out,

I’ve been a lifetime in the making.

It’s what my life has been about,

It could be said, my time I was taking.

For fifty years I had to hide

My true self, from the world at large.

All the pretence, the times I lied,

I lived a life of espionage.

I am Transgender but that’s not the point.

I am a woman, I always have been.

No need to bless or even anoint,

Always female, with or without the gene.

For so long my life was black and white,

Compared to now, I was so much duller.

My Trans colours are pink, blue and white,

And my rainbow life is now so full of colour.
