My alien liked to read
So, I introduced him to you guys stories.
Under the beautiful fall landscaped tree
He sat engrossed in books, seeming free
Tree limbs swayed, leaves swirled, enjoying a race
And the cool air caressed his enraptured face
So enticing did he find the words
He did not notice me staring, smiling at his verbs
So completely out of place was his appearance
A yellowish green, naked, yet not naked man's happenstance
I smiled. Then tried to introduce myself without much ado
Ahem! "Hello there sir. I see you love books as much as I do"!
He barely moved, just squinted his large eyes in my direction
Then returned to his reading, as if I were an invisible apparition
How rude, I observed, the smile disappearing from my face
Undeterred, I removed my computer from its case
Sat myself flat on the ground nearby
Luckily I had my new Wi-Fi connector, whereby
I connected and commenced to read aloud some Vocal stories
I saw him perk up, he was listening, I wanted no worries
"May I sit by you"? I enquired, emulating wit
He moved a tiny bit, wonderfully, I went to sit
He reached for my laptop and started scanning
Geez, how fast his eyes were panning
In the time I took to squint, he had read a half, so abbreviated
"This is fascinating", he said in 'Alien', which he then translated
He finished the rest in record time,
Appearing quite perplexed, he then asked, so sublime
"Where can I meet this strange farrago and mish-mash of beings,
For surely some need some serious therapy, I am seeing....
Some need love, others I will transport to Vulcana for probing
Some I would like to keep for myself, and others feed to the foraging
Monsterous Kuukklaks on Vulcana".
Oh good grief, I had to jet, quick as my feet could garner
In great alarm, I grabbed my computer and ran for my life
"I know your password". He yelled after me, causing me strife
I am so very sorry guys
Alexixi will be coming for you, my how time flies
He knows about every one of your lives
Darn Internet, it's where we thrive
I wonder who will get probed!
I'm going underground, everything I froze
UGH!
