Mr. Man in the Moon, I am writing to you

Are you shining at me in disguise

Are you lonesome up there by yourself, there is not a star in sight

I am up with you for the night, so never fear for your light

I am talking to you, because I am sad and blue and you always listen to me

Can you talk to me, I think I see a darker side of you because you shine only when I talk to you, and I can see you flicker like a light bulb that is burning out.

Why are you hiding behind the trees like a thief in the night

Are you Blue Mr. Moon, are you hiding your blues from the world

To the whole world you show a shining face

Your glow, you never have to fear it is a disgrace

Can you tell I am lonely and blue

And are you saying that you feel that way too.

If you are, your heart must be broken like mine

This is the kind of poem someone with great love in their heart would write. Someone who waits for the night to come so she/he can keep the moon company, like you—like me. To stand beneath the almond tree and look at it as a friend. To speak to it and receive a true, radiant embrace. In the soul. You truly spoke to me. What can I say. Patience. :)
