Motherhood

The bond between Mother & Child

By Tania SchiliroPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

Mothers,

they bring us into the world one by one,

after nine months of gestation in the Womb,

attached to their body by a cord,

feeding until we are strong enough to feed ourselves.

And even then,

once the physical cord has been dutifully cut,

an energetic one still remains.

Forever attached by this invisible cord,

the bond between Mother and Child is like no other.

This bond allows humans to feel unconditional love for the very first time.

The kind of love that recognizes no barriers, and has no true definition.

The kind of love that remains eternally unaffected by the glitter, glam and distractions of the material world.

The kind of love that transcends time,

much like when a Child stares into their Mother’s eyes,

And her in theirs,

For the very first time.

Time stops.

Children,

seeds of life planted through the ultimate act of love,

blossoming slowly and steadily through the nurturing of a Mother,

manifestations of the miracle of creation.

Below each tree of life are a Mother’s roots,

growing in all directions of time,

as the foundation of Family reveals itself through trunk, branches and leaves,

all fed by the very same unconditional love.
