Mother to be

You have waited,

perfectly impatiently

for this day.

Don’t worry,

of the type you will be

Because I already know:

The instinct and intuition

Come naturally to you,

from the word go!

How do you possibly know?

You gave this girl,

in the front row

a valentine.

Someone you hardly knew....

True!

You invited her to sit with you

At lunch,

the girl had a hunch,

with a bunch of people to talk to

She fit in!

You never left her out

Not once did you’re back turn, to excluded her

Never walked out of sight

That my dear,

Is exactly,

what a “good mother” would do!

love poems
