The Black woman. The queen of the planet who gave birth to me.

For nine months I was carried she gave worth to me.

Not just the queen of the world, but the heart of the soul.

She could never not ever be a part of my soul.

Life has brought me pain and caused me stress.

Nevertheless Black women let me know I was blessed.

Made sure I had a place to rest when my days were long.

When I felt weak she helped me remain strong.

No matter how much turmoil and pain I’ve seen on this earth.

The Black queens of the earth never let me forget I am king and hold worth.
