Mother Nature
Nature Personified As A Creative And Controlling Force
Dear Mother Nature: We are in awe
*
Fingers black and branched like trees
wicked comes upon the breeze
Brings a grown man to his knees
with vapored breath for mercy, please
*
She rides the clouds and rules the air
her power, none - you can compare
Behind her lays despair and want
her face forevermore will haunt
*
Forecasters try to track her wrath
mistaken, stands in aftermath
She comes and goes upon a whim
boldly denies to answer him
*
Mother nature's springtime horrors
she reigns as judge and every juror
spreading as wide as she can reach
security and safety, breech
*
Till all that's left is brokenness
she'll ravage until you confess
The extreme power that she wields
no mortal man against can shield

Well done, the video was good too
I remember that pic with the fire, looked so ominous. You captured the essence of the storm beautifully.
Great poem Kelli 🥰
Ooh Kelli this is a great piece ❤️😉
I love watching a good storm, but always pray that no one is hurt & the damage is not too great. Oddly enough, I don't think Mother Nature pays much attention to my prayers. I loved the tension between lilting rhymes & rhythms & the ominous words they bear.
So well thought out and beautifully worded.
Awesome job with this one, Kelli!
