*** Background music triggered by the title thought ***

Come on, boot up! There we go.

What's on my calendar?

Oh, September 10! Switch tracks!

Write something for tomorrow.

Nine one one?

Nine eleven?

September eleventh?

Will anyone read it, though?

An actor with a big voice died

And that's what people remember.

“Yesterday's News” Trumps Old News!

There's a headline for ya!

Do I need to write another one?

Last year's was was pretty good.

“The Day the Veil Was Lifted.”

That title was catchy, huh?

Better to write than to forget.

Better yet, don't let them forget.

That rhymed. A good start?

No. I need coffee.

There's a challenge open, right?

Now there's a place to start!

What're we thinking?

Okay, let's see...

***

Today's date led to tomorrow's date and that led to - well, what you hopefully just read. (It even rhymes a little.) Gotta' go! All aboard! Next stop, more coffee!

An entry for this challenge:

Here's last year's 911 poem. A bit more on the serious side:

Nicely done, Dana! I really like this type of stream of consciousness piece that still reads as a poem and has great flow to it

I love the song pick, Sheena Easton. It’s been a while since I heard this song. My favorite line: Yesterday's News” Trumps Old News!

Love the natural flow of this poem Dana! Deep thoughts and big ideas within, definitely left me with something to chew on.

Sounds like me in the morning, until the coffee kicks in.
