More words I said to her hovering self

Over her rainbow she was being fair

Reading a page in my book on the shelf

Entertained her barrette-tightened short hair

Where are the words that cannot be altered

Or at least misperceived by extension

Relaxing may have been a state faltered

Directing from above an ascension

Selflessness is a type of perspective

Invigorating white and grey matter

Some words can give tongue to an objective

As long as they do not firstly flatter

I said more words as she returned to Earth

Different terms as she was giving birth

Yeah! she alluded with her earrings under her orange hat.

Did she mean yes, as she moved them to the beat of my heart’s scat?

The final two lines are a mantinada, which typically consists of a Cretan 15-syllable rhyming couplet. Mantinades is the plural.
