More Than Ordinary

By Julie O'Hara - Author, Poet and Spiritual WarriorPublished 2 months ago 1 min read

Verse 1

I’ve been the quiet in someone’s storm

The light they used but never warmed

I’ve worn the crown of second place

Smiled through the ache, erased my grace

Pre-Chorus

But love should feel like holy ground

Not something you just keep around

If you can’t see the fire in me

Then you don’t deserve the heat

Chorus

Never love anyone who treats you like you’re ordinary

Like your soul’s not rare, like your heart’s not legendary

You’re a universe wrapped in skin

A sacred storm, a violin

Never love anyone who can’t see what you carry

You’re not meant to be dimmed — you’re extraordinary

Verse 2

I’ve danced alone in crowded rooms

Felt more alive beneath the moon

Than in the arms of someone blind

To the miracle I hold inside

Bridge

So I’ll wait for the one who knows

That wild hearts need room to grow

Who sees the stars behind my eyes

And never asks me to disguise

Final Chorus

Never love anyone who treats you like you’re ordinary

Like your magic’s just routine, like your dreams are temporary

You’re a symphony, a flame

Not a number, not a name

Never love anyone who can’t rise to meet your clarity

You’re not meant to be small — you’re extraordinary
