More than meets the Eye
A tribute to Israel and Palestine
There is always more to what meets the eye, but when you see with eyes you don’t see the entire picture, so you’re seeing lies.
The truth can always compete with lies. No matter how fooled the world is we’ll defeat these lies.
Let the Muslim, Jew and Christian pray together. Let their children play together and then the world stay together.
There’s plenty room for the atheist too. No matter your belief or lack of, I’m staying with you.
The world knows us by our fruit so let’s grow the best. There’s more in our hearts than the eyes can see so let’s show the best.
Have perception that is wise enough to see through lies and never forget there’s always more than meets the eyes.

AUGUST 1976
I was listening to some reaction videos on the internet the other day when I "re-discovered" one of THE greatest and uniquely American songs I have ever had the pleasure of hearing. I forgot that Arlo Guthrie comes from a sturdy stock of great folklorists-namely his father Woody Guthrie. I associate Arlo with "Alice's Restaurant", so much so that I forgot he is an exceptional storyteller in his own right.
