Moon

the weight of night

I looked up

tonight

and there you

were again,

not doing

anything,

just hovering

there.

*

You do it

all the time,

even when I

can’t see your

brightness in the

night skies.

*

To us,

you’re always

changing shape,

but in reality,

you stay the same,

and we’re the ones

that keep on changing.

*

When we’re gone,

you’ll still be in

the sky, sometimes

the only light source

in the darkness.

I loved this Luna, it felt like the moon's presence could be a metaphor for someone's love!!

  • Oooo, this made me think of hiw we don't show all parts of us to others all the time. Your poem was so deep. I loved it!
