Money, the great enabler,
The root of many a desire,
A symbol of status and power,
A means to quench life's fire.
With its shine and its glimmer,
It dazzles the eyes of many,
An object of pursuit and whimper,
A tempting and alluring penny.
It can buy the finest of things,
From diamonds to golden rings,
It can make a pauper a king,
And grant him many life's blessings.
Yet, it can also bring much sorrow,
With its power to corrupt and devour,
It can lead to a dark tomorrow,
And leave the soul feeling sour.
For money is but a tool,
A means to an end, not the end itself,
It can build or it can cruel,
Depending on how it's held.
So, use it with care and wisdom,
Let it not be the master of your fate,
For true happiness lies not in a kingdom,
But in the love and connection that you create.
