Deep in darkness, pools of dreams, tomorrow's light, never what it seems
I watched you grow from laughter, easy love, no question joy made up us
Sitting next to me, yet so far apart, nothing hurts like a mother' heart
Time, faith, where does it go? Little by little life tests our souls
How do I miss you when you're so near, my baby, my sweetheart dear?
Gone to a place so deep inside, I struggle to find words to hide
How much I miss my baby so true, how much I love my sweet baby blue
I can not fix what this world has done, I can't undo the words once spun
From mouths of fools there will always be, cowardly minds, unkind deeds
When you walk down your path alone whether I'm here, I am your home
How much I miss my baby so true, how much I love my sweet baby blue
Your heart so tender, your mind confused, I can't fix what's breaking you
Time, faith, where does it go? Little by little life tests our souls
How do I miss you when you're so near, my baby, my sweetheart dear?
Gone to a place so deep inside, I struggle to find words to hide
How much I miss my baby so true, how much I love my sweet baby blue

This was so poignant and emotional. Loved your poem!
The hardest part of parenting is watching our children suffer. It never gets easier, not even when they’re mature adults with children and lives all their own. Beautiful, deeply felt poetry, ROCK!
watching our children grow up- wanting to protect them and keep them from harm- it's hard to see what the world does to them. this is a beautiful poem ❤️
