Mirror

Past, Present, Forever

By Sahasra ReddyPublished 10 months ago 1 min read

I see myself in the mirror,

Beyond the surface,

I see the heart of a tender young girl.

If I could write a letter to my younger self,

I would tell her-

Don't you ever think you aren't enough.

Surrounded by loved ones,

A bright future of you,

Dreams waiting to unfold.

Let laughter echo through the walls of time,

Let kindness light your way,

And know that you are always enough.

Standing at the crossroads of yesterday and tomorrow,

Carrying echoes of childhood in my heart,

The world seems heavier now.

Days of wonder and nights full of dreams,

A heart untouched by doubt and fear,

If only I could tell that girl-

Hold onto that magic, it's always near.
