Mirror, mirror on the wall
I am the fairest of them all
Those are the lies you tell to me
Despite the visage that’s plain to see
The image you cast of thoughts untrue
The ugliness that’s in clear view
Don’t dare pretend that you don’t know
The pain you cause with falsehoods told
You can’t control what, in my heart, I feel
With deceptive thoughts meant to mislead
Don’t waste my time, don’t try to sway
I don’t believe a single word you say
Go now, tell me I’m the worst of all
Dear mirror, mirror on the wall

Brilliant & Flyy!!
Fantastic. I love that you used the mirror as a subject, too. A winner in my book, my friend!
Once again, you absolutely slay the inverse! Such a fantastic piece, up and down! Amazing job, my friend!
Brilliant and meaningful use of the inverse structure- love it!
Nice!!❤️
This is amazing, Cathy!
This was sooo good Cathy! Especially the extra challenge of ending and beginning with the same line
Yeah, for me it's more applicable reading down than up. But it does read well both ways, lol.
This is incredibly done. The message takes its full, beautiful effect on the reverse, especially. 💓
Funny and poignant too! I tend to look great in those funny fairground mirrors that make you look like your nose has swallowed one eye and half a mouth 😂
Fabulous, Cathy! This speaks to all women and that you managed to do it in an inverse poem is brilliant!
The message in this is powerful and crystal clear when read both ways. Absolutely incredible.
Well done!
I look nice in some mirrors, and a potato in others, what's that all about 🧐
Good poetry 👍
Mirrors are twisted in nature as they are in inverse by themselves. This was like a mirror-ception! Your poem was both mindblowing and mindbending!
Awesome reverse poem!!! Loving it!!!♥️♥️💕
I agree! Mirrors are the worst liars!!
I love the how the inverse meanings are directly opposed to each other while also both suggesting that the viewer sees what they want to see instead of listening to the mirror itself.
This is a brilliant inverse, Cathy. I agree with Hannah, using a mirror for the inverse is a great idea!
Love how the emphasis change when read in reverse!
For while, we enjoy the falsehoods of what we might want to see in the mirror, but eventually, we all face our own truths. This is truly magnificent.
Excellent. Still can't do them.
Love the concept of a mirror as a subject for an inverse! This is a great piece!
"The image you cast of thoughts untrue" . Wow! What a powerful poem. Loved it! ❤️
