Memories

Poem

By My Old PilesPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

If you had the choice of forgetting all of your memories.

Would you do it if you had more bad memories?

However, even pleasant memories may worsen your feelings.

Because they are just there to remind you of the past.

But there is only one way to forget the past,

and that is to accept them as they are,

which I refuse to do.

Because they determined who I am now

We are all dependent on our past.

If we push to change ourselves, we will struggle.

Because our old selves will know right away.

You can only act like you don't care.

Until you start believing your own lie, that is.

Sometimes I just stare out the window,

remembering everything I've done,

but it's all gone now.

It's just me and a few memories.
