Meet for coffee?

To play chess?

I need to meet a woman

To plan a better plan

To work up to chess champion

enabling my companion

There are so many friends

who see you as means to wicked ends

Trying to have a conversation

Hoping something noble enters the equation

Starting with just coffee dates

Hopefully it is worth the rates

I can be better poet

I can be better wrote

i want to talk and breathe

and loneliness relieve

It never seems to work

ironing out my shirt

A place to start in chess

To make a collective guess

Not yet ready to park

Friendship is the mark

Failed romance of the past

How much longer will it last?

I need a friend for better rhyme

I am not stuck in space and time

These are not just coffee meetings

They are mutual greetings

Where i establish trust in God

Where i find Him to laud

I want a friend so to talk and speak

I am not trying to be a circus freak

There are so many roads to travel

And i want to ride on more than gavel

I can set a righteous course

And form a better, greater discourse

love poems

About the Creator

Bruce Underwood

I am trying to figure out if i can make the same amount of money working as a poet for Vocal that i can working part time as a dishwasher.
