Surrender

She always love completely

And only trusts in part

Each time that she has trusted

They broke her bleeding heart

So, she buries her true nature

Plays who they want her to be

Hiding her darker substance

Giving them a curated version to see

She can’t afford to trust more deeply

Second chances not allowed

Smiles given freely

But ever alone in the crowd

Never trusting twice

Her fragile heart- it cries

Each time it gets broken

A piece inside her dies

The broken piece forgotten

By everyone but her

Her fucking eidetic memory

Darkness does death infer

So, if you hold her heart

After you left her less than whole

Know she surrendered life

Your will to crush her soul
