Measure with Your Heart
When Numbers Fail, Let Feelings Guide the Way
Measure with Your Heart
Not everything fits in a rigid line,
Not all can be counted, not all must align.
A pinch of kindness, a dash of grace,
A sprinkle of love in the right time and place.
The world says measure, weigh, compare,
But where’s the warmth in numbers bare?
Can you count the joy of a shared embrace,
Or the comfort found in a familiar face?
A recipe says, “One cup, not more,”
But what if your soul says, “Maybe a pour”?
A moment says, “Wait, the time’s not right,”
But what if your heart whispers, “Leap—take flight”?
The size of a gift is not its worth,
The weight of words can shatter or birth.
A laugh can carry more than gold,
A story shared, a hand to hold.
So when you measure, pause and see,
Some things are felt, not weighed or free.
Love, like salt, is best when shared,
Seasoned by those who truly cared.
Measure not in numbers cold,
But in the warmth of hearts consoled.
Let feeling guide the steps you chart,
And always—measure with your heart.
