She was born premature,
a brain of tabula rasa,
we raised her with care.
Now she is a sponge—
learning, retaining,
a beacon of knowledge.
Giving me back,
immense pride,
life with her is joyride.
Heart is corazón,
and nightmare is pesadilla.
I am reading a libro,
sitting on my silla.
Writer Hemingway wrote
'The Old Man and the Sea'.
Baby carrier is called 'papoose'.
Dandelions show resilience.
Dinosaurs died,
when asteroid hit the earth.
Carpe diem,
ad astra per aspera.
Don’t cry for your passed father—
we are mortal anyway,
memento mori.
Let’s pick hollyhock seeds,
plant some spring onion,
deadhead the coreopsis,
admire the gladiolus.
Let's go foraging,
for pineapple guava,
and passion fruits,
I like frugal,
and like everything natural.
I want to inherit,
your 'The New Yorker'.
Teach me something,
I want to lean more.
"Thank you for bringing me,
to this earth,
and everything you do."
So far, so good,
she is gold nugget,
I hope, the hypocrisy
will not taint,
so I say to her,
let good judgment,
be your superpower.
