Recalls a long and memorable walk we took together one spring day during hard times a couple years ago, and how we were refreshed by the spectacle of nature and humanity. Joyeux anniversaire mon amour!

Epidemic May Day Calls

fadeaway—thinking of how even those times were sweet

so many sights, hard to mentally compartmentalize them

after the driest April allegedly in over a Century’s Record-Keeping

Spring

so the snake has shed its skin, and is looking fresh as ever

incapable of balding

out to see

what May

was doing [in our Absence] After the Coyote had gagged on the Lizard

looking forward to

Apples of Eden

all we have left is a dumb paralytic bliss

cerebral washover,

brain implant of the wisteria maiden, not paying attention even, tripping out on the bad consequences of everyday guilt

but the implant of the wisteria maiden on the fiber optics
