Mask

Conceal (something) from view.

In this moment,

My clouded eyes began to pour—

As my lips tasted the pain.

Filtered through my pores,

A careless moment,

For life I cared less.

My unspoken words,

Expressed without emotion—

To feel so low,

Alone,

Desperate in my decisions

Everything I had not envisioned.

Can I imitate a smile?

Is my mask becoming fragile?

Every piece fits a different puzzle—

To put me together.

Impossible.

My flaws, unavoidable.

My mind,

A room with six walls,

Divided from you.

Unable to build doors,

Floors I sink into—

Trapped.

But a moment to speak,

A moment to say...

I...

I wish you knew...

Me.

Because I don't.
