Marriage Is Funny
Inspired: The Comedy of Red Skelton

I married “Ms. Right” by the County Court hallways
I just didn’t know her first name was, “Always”
We’ll eat somewhere special at least once a week
It’s my turn tomorrow, I’ll go somewhere unique
Last year we picked someplace to just get away
She went to Las Vegas, I went to LA
She asked if I missed her for traveling so far
I did with the Pickup, but let’s try the car
She loves getting mud packs, I try not to scoff
She truly looks better, but then it comes off
We love going camping, we go well off the track
Wherever I leave her she finds her way back
Adventures’s her passion, she’s really been itchin’
I took her downstairs and showed her the kitchen
She loves holding hands and we may never stop
If I let it go she continues to shop
She says she’s unhappy, “Our marriage corrupt”
It been forty minutes, I won’t interrupt
The number one reason that people divorce
Statistics will show it’s from marriage, of course

I remember Red Skelton making jokes about marriage all the time. This was awesome!
hahaha - hold her hand so she won't shop and buy and then...you think when she wants adventure and you show her the kitchen it will work? LOL. this was very cute and made me smile. Good job!!
This made me laugh out loud the whole way through. :D Great job and thank you for all the laughs.
