from the old days
he was a strict prick
with a soft spot
for his little girl
that soft spot
would eventually
become
a rotten hole
that his life
faded out of
bit by bit,
a little each day
first it took his smile
then his confident gait
everything else quickly followed suit
but the diseases he harboured
took a back seat
to the reaper
his little girl
was hanging out with
she was a beautiful fiend
she loved the heroin
