Mama’s Holiday
A poetic ode to my mama’s holidays
I can tell it’s getting darker at an early time of day.
Welcome the cool season of giving. It’s a holiday.
They say that means Santa is coming for me.
I can’t wait to see all of my presents under the tree.
It was the holidays when mama gave my spirit a lift.
She swooped in swift smiling big to give us her gift.
During the holidays mama kept us in a good mood.
A gift of love for the season and made us good food.
She made sure we had fun putting up decorations.
Christmas lights up with the music. It’s a celebration.
Oh how I love this great season when it’s mama’s ways.
My greatest memories are always mama’s holidays.

Very sweet tribute!
Moms are often the keepers of holidays..never the same when they pass away.
